DaytonDefense and the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) are pleased to announce a two-day Dayton IT Wing conference to be held on March 30-31, 2010, at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center. The Dayton IT Wing conference will provide an opportunity for the 554th Electronic Systems Group (ELSG), 754th Electronic Systems Group (ELSG) and the Expeditionary Combat Support Systems (ECSS) to exchange information with the Regional Dayton Defense Industry on specific and emerging requirements in their portfolio. Our theme this year, “Lessons Learned: Supporting the Warfighter the Wright Way.”
The Electronic Systems Center (ESC) is the Air Force Materiel Command Acquisition Center of Excellence specializing in acquisition of Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) and Information Systems to support the Warfighter. Under the direction and guidance of ESC, the 554 ELSG, based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, acquires, delivers, and sustains agile combat support IT solutions for the Air Force and DOD. Also under the direction and guidance of ESC, the 754 ELSG, based at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama, provides responsive information systems to support more efficient and effective logistics, contracting and comm-computer capabilities Air Force wide. ECSS, also headquartered at Wright-Patterson AFB, is a major initiative to better support the Warfighter by transforming the way the Air Force performs logistics business by standardizing business processes and tools across the entire enterprise, replacing the majority of legacy logistics systems with a single solution.
Collectively called Team ESC, the 554 ELSG, 754 ELSG, and ECSS provide a center of excellence for IT solutions across the Air Force and Joint Commands, administering a contract portfolio valued at more than $15 billion.
On March 30, 2010, the Dayton IT Wing will provide a forum for Team ESC to exchange information with industry on current and future business plans with a focus on specific and emerging new business opportunities, with a specific focus on the lessons learned over the course of program life spans. The event will be kicked off with in-depth discussion by senior leadership, highlighting updates to the DOD acquisition strategies and bringing focus to the hot IT topics such as Cybersecurity and the nature of Enterprise Resource Programs.
On March 31, 2010, we will continue our discussions with industry on upcoming opportunities. Additional special small business sessions focusing on the different factors impacting doing business with the Air Force today will be offered, hosted by Dr. Jeanette Robinson, 554 ELSG small business director; Colonel Gregory Gutterman, 554 ELSG Commander; and special guest Mr. John Caporal, Air Force Small Business Director.
The registration fee for the conference is $300. All lodging and transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the attendees. Registration started in January 2010. Telephone registrations will not be accepted. The cut-off date for registration is March 27, 2010. Cancellations must be made by March 15, 2010 to receive refund payment. Please note that each registration fee covers one attendee only. Attendance is limited to 400 persons. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. A large response is anticipated, so please register early.
